July 2008, Huahai participated in the algae control operations at the sea area of Qingdao, providing more than 30,000 meters oil boom and other equipment. In the same year, Huahai participated in the clean-up work of Enteromorpha prolifera in Qingdao sea area (sailing arena of Beijing Olympic Games), and was rated as the outstanding contributor to the organization work of sailing competition of the 29th Olympic Games and Beijing Paralympic Games.
